The Realms

 The Realms is a community LARP started back in 1981. Critical to the longevity of this game is a deeply engrained culture of mentorship and passing the torch. 

I started playing in August of 2006 and started staffing, writing, designing, and producing events in 2009. 

• Authored total spell system rework, giving players greater flexibility and creative freedom over their mechanical abilities. 
• Necromancy rework creates a clear distinction between Healing Magic, with the latter having more uses to create weak undead compared to healing, which restores players to full power. 
• Implemented an information gathering system for players. This system allowed them to ask short questions to get short answers. This increased narrative understanding, engagement, and gave us data that informed future content.  
• Introduced MMO-like systems received positively by the player base. 
• Open World Questing
